The atmospheric images of Swansea’s top photographer are a joy to behold. He has an ability to capture the beauty of the Welsh landscape is quite unique. The evocative imagery of the Gower Peninsular as shown in his latest book ‘Secret Gower,’ (a collaboration with a local poet) has added to his portfolio of beautiful memories of this area of outstanding natural beauty.
Brian Gaylor has used poetry as a source of inspiration in his Dylan Thomas, Idris Davies and ‘Secret Gower’ projects. The ensuing image and text is inspirational with the thought process starting with words rather than images. This radical approach to photography has resulted in many other artists questioning their methods of motivation.
His work has always been innovative and this is graphically demonstrated in a new range of pictures that combine the very best of traditional and modern artistic skills. Known as ‘The Creative Artistry Collection” they are available only in limited editions of 50.
I am delighted that what has previously been a closely guarded private archive is now being made available to the discerning collector. With the advent of the latest high resolution long-life printing equipment the decision was made to produce quality editions of the very best of his work.
